Many Councils provide a free graffiti removal service. The extent of the service, and conditions, vary from council to council.
Some councils do not provide graffiti removal services, but they may supply information and even some graffiti removal wipes for example, so you can remove graffiti yourself.
Graffiti may be found on assets Council is not prepared or even permitted to repair. These include assets of utilities such as phone and power companies, and state or federal bodies such as road authorities. These utilities have their own graffiti removal services.

Not Covered by a Council or Utility?

Reporting Graffiti
When reporting graffiti, please have the following information available:
- Your name and phone number
- The affected property address, including the suburb. If there is no address, (e.g. a bus stop) then give the closest address or location detail you can.
- Who the owner is of the affected property – you, your landlord, Telstra, – anyone responsible for the building.
- Any comments you may have about the nature, size or location of the graffiti.
